STARRALITY / SAFETY

Child Safety
Standards.

Protecting young people is a responsibility we take seriously. These standards explain what we prohibit, how concerns can be raised, and how we approach safety across Starrality.

OUR APPROACH

Safety is part of how we build.

Starrality brings people together through social content, conversation, creator experiences, and commerce. We believe those experiences must be developed with safeguards for younger users, clear accountability, and respect for privacy.

Our commitment to young people

Starrality is a social technology platform operated by Para Vitae Inc. d/b/a Starrality. People use Starrality to share posts and reels, connect through profiles and comments, participate in Global Hangout and private conversations, discover creators, and explore opportunities and commerce. Protecting young people requires thoughtful product design, clear rules, accountable decisions, and meaningful action when safety concerns arise. These standards apply across Starrality features, including content, messages, profiles, creator programs, and commerce.

Age eligibility and age assurance

Starrality is not intended for children under 13. People must meet the minimum age required in their jurisdiction and any higher minimum age specified at registration. Where we learn that an account belongs to someone who is not eligible, we may restrict access, investigate age eligibility, and remove the account and associated information as required by law. Age requirements apply regardless of whether a person signs up with an email address, phone number, or third-party sign-in. We may request age-related information or other reasonable verification when necessary, consistent with applicable privacy law. We do not permit users to evade age restrictions by providing inaccurate information or creating replacement accounts.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

Starrality prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM); sexualized depictions of minors, including manipulated or AI-generated material; grooming; sexual solicitation of minors; sextortion; trafficking; attempts to obtain sexual images from a minor; and directing others to such material or conduct. These prohibitions apply to public content, private messages, voice notes, images, videos, GIFs, links, live or group interactions, and off-platform coordination through Starrality. We may remove content, restrict accounts, preserve relevant information when legally required, and report apparent violations to appropriate authorities. No user has permission to upload, solicit, exchange, or distribute CSAM.

Grooming, unwanted contact and exploitation

Adults must not use Starrality to build exploitative relationships with minors, request secrecy about inappropriate contact, solicit intimate images, pressure young people to move to private channels, or offer money, gifts, opportunities, travel, or rewards in exchange for sexual or otherwise exploitative conduct. Attempts to impersonate a peer or a trusted adult to manipulate a young person are prohibited. We may investigate suspicious contact patterns and restrict communication or accounts when warranted.

Safer messaging and Global Hangout

Our standards apply to private messages, shared photos, voice recordings, group conversations, and Global Hangout rooms. Users must not threaten, harass, sexually solicit, stalk, or exploit others through these features. Safety reports about private conversations may be reviewed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Starrality intends to use age-appropriate contact controls, reporting, blocking, and moderation safeguards as its services develop. The presence of a policy does not mean every planned technical control is already active; we will describe available controls accurately within the app.

Bullying, harassment and self-harm

We prohibit targeted bullying, humiliation, threats, coercion, doxxing, encouragement of suicide or self-harm, and content that exploits a young person's vulnerability. Content that glorifies eating disorders, dangerous body-image practices, or severe self-injury may be removed or restricted, particularly where young people may encounter it. We aim to respond with care to people seeking support, while preventing content that encourages harm.

Dangerous challenges and viral content

Creator challenges and rewards must not encourage unsafe stunts, violence, risky consumption, trespassing, dangerous driving, harassment, or pressure to take physical or financial risks. Engagement, views, or participation never justify putting a young person at risk. Starrality may remove unsafe challenges, restrict distribution, disqualify participation, and suspend related accounts or promotions.

Age-appropriate discovery and recommendations

Starrality's feeds, reels, suggested accounts, and discovery experiences should not intentionally promote sexual exploitation, predatory contact, graphic violence, dangerous challenges, or other content unsuitable for minors. We aim to develop age-appropriate defaults and give users meaningful ways to report unwanted recommendations. We will evaluate recommendation and engagement features for foreseeable risks to young people and adjust them as needed. Features such as limits on notifications, contact discovery, or feed personalization must be implemented and tested before we represent them as available.

Privacy and personal information

Young people's privacy deserves special consideration. Users must not publish another person's private contact details, school location, home address, intimate information, or identifying documents without authorization. Starrality will handle age-related information and requests involving children in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable laws. We do not authorize unlawful collection, profiling, or targeted advertising involving children. We will evaluate third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising tools, and sign-in flows to ensure they do not bypass age restrictions or undermine required protections.

Creators, brands and commercial activity

Creator opportunities, paid partnerships, brand outreach, rewards, product tagging, shopping, and events must not be used to exploit or pressure minors. Businesses and creators must not solicit personal contact information from young people for inappropriate purposes, misrepresent opportunities, or condition benefits on risky or sexualized conduct. Participation by minors in compensated activities, events, or commercial arrangements may require additional eligibility checks, guardian involvement, and compliance with applicable laws. Starrality may restrict or remove opportunities that present child-safety risks.

Synthetic media and impersonation

We prohibit AI-generated or altered content that sexualizes minors, depicts child sexual abuse, facilitates grooming or extortion, or deceptively impersonates a young person to cause harm. Users may not create deceptive accounts or manipulated media to obtain a child's trust, images, money, or personal information. Relevant content and accounts may be removed and escalated.

Reporting a child-safety concern

If you encounter suspected exploitation, grooming, predatory behavior, unsafe challenges, or another risk to a child, use the reporting tools available within Starrality and contact our designated child-safety channel. Include relevant usernames, links, dates, and a description of the concern, but do not download, redistribute, or attach suspected CSAM. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the United States, concerns about online child sexual exploitation may also be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.

Review, enforcement and escalation

Starrality may review reports, restrict visibility, remove content, disable messaging or account features, suspend or terminate accounts, and take other proportionate steps to address risks. Severe child-exploitation violations may result in immediate removal and escalation. Where required by applicable law, we report apparent child sexual exploitation to NCMEC or other appropriate authorities and preserve relevant information securely. We do not guarantee that every report can be resolved immediately or that all harmful content can be detected in advance. Our internal procedures must support timely triage, documented decisions, restricted access to sensitive evidence, and legally required preservation and reporting.

Account removal and parental concerns

A parent or guardian who believes an ineligible child has a Starrality account may contact us through the child-safety channel to request review and, where appropriate, account removal or deletion of personal information. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify the request without collecting more information than needed. We will not impose unnecessary repeat steps where the relevant facts have already been established. Retention may be required for legal, security, or reporting obligations; see our Privacy Policy and account-deletion information.

Transparency, improvement and accountability

These standards are intended to guide both user behavior and Starrality's internal safety decisions. We will review them as features and applicable laws change. We aim to evaluate safety risks before launching major features, train appropriate reviewers, document escalations, and monitor whether reporting and account restrictions work in practice. Public commitments will be updated to reflect controls actually available to users. These standards supplement our Community Guidelines, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.
